Welcome to Kumiko Matsui‘s webpage!
I am a JSPS Cross-border postdoctoral research fellow in Pyenson Lab at National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution and the Kyushu University Museum at Kyushu University, Japan.
Now, I’m working on Brain and sensory organ morphology of extinct marine mammals (especially interested in Desmostylia‘s evolution!!), pathology of Cretaceous Ammonites, learning to identify large fossils using deep conventional neural networks.
